My husband brought home a domestic rabbit that someone had let loose. I was happy because after years of having rabbits, I lost my last one a few months back. I haven’t had a young rabbit in a long time. My other rabbits were always litter box trained. This rabbit will not poop or pee when in it’s caged. I left him in his cage all day yesterday in hopes he’d have to get used to the idea of peeing or pooping in there. He didn’t. I let him out this a.m cuz I’m afraid he’ll explode. He got out and really let loose all over the floor. I’ve been putting a litter box on the floor and putting the poop and a paper towel with pee on it hoping that would help. It doesn’t. This has gone on for almost a week. I just don’t know what to do. I may have to make him an outdoor bunny but I have never done that and I live in AZ and worry about the heat. Any suggestions would be so nice.
